What does the database contain?
Information
The information presented in the campaign finance database is, to the best of our ability, an accurate representation of the reports filed with the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance. Information in the campaign finance database was either submitted online or key-entered from paper reports submitted to the Registry of Election Finance. Items inconsistent with filing requirements or information that is missing reflects the content of the report that was filed with the Registry of Election Finance.
Time Period
For candidates, the database contains all contributions and expenditures reported to the Registry of Election Finance since the candidacy was announced, beginning with the 2004 election.
For PACs, the database contains all contributions and expenditures reported to the Registry of Election Finance since January 1, 2004.
Whose information is in the database?
Any candidate for Governor, State Senator, State Representative, Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, Court of Criminal Appeals, District Attorney General and Public Defender. It also includes financial disclosure information for all PACs registered with the Tennessee Registry of Election Finance. Campaign Financial Disclosure Reports from local county or municipal candidates and committees are not included.
When are the filings available to view?
Campaign financial disclosure reports filed electronically are viewable as soon as filed. Campaign financial disclosure reports for PACs who file on paper are viewable as soon as the reports are received and processed. The data available is as current as possible.
