Notice of Effective Date for Removal Rules for the Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers

Pursuant to Tenn. Code. Ann. § 4-3-1306(d), you are receiving this notice because you have elected to receive notification by e-mail of certain changes or potential changes to the law applicable to your profession.

The Tennessee Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers adopted rules at its September 9, 2014 regularly scheduled meeting regarding the registration and renewal fees required for registration with the Board as a removal service pursuant to Tenn. Code Ann. § 62-5-318, as well as setting the amount of insurance required to be maintained by removal services. These rules were filed with the Secretary of State on December 3, 2014 and will become effective on March 3, 2015.
